Job description
Role overview
This position is with Satair Singapore, which operates as part of Airbus Services. The role focuses on buying and securing the availability of aircraft spare parts and related services so that internal and external customer needs are met on time, within budget, and to the expected quality standard.
What you will do
- Raise purchase orders promptly in line with demand requirements.
- Track supplier confirmation dates, shipment schedules, and in-transit goods so customer orders are completed on time.
- Check purchase order details carefully, including pricing, quantities, and certificates, to avoid future delays or blocks.
- Prepare a daily order-book summary to keep order status and next actions visible.
- Develop strong working relationships with suppliers and internal teams, and join supplier business reviews when needed.
- Take corrective action at order level whenever issues arise.
- Keep relevant internal and external stakeholders updated on progress and changes, including CRS, Planning, and suppliers.
- Update SAP and any other required systems with accurate information and changes.
- Handle return shipments to vendors.
- Work through supplier mismatches and quality concerns by coordinating with the relevant stakeholders.
- Assist the accounting team in identifying and resolving the root causes behind blocked invoices.
Requirements
- A diploma plus at least 2 years of experience in supply chain work in a fast-moving environment, ideally in aerospace.
- Applicants with no previous work experience may also be considered.
- Strong practical knowledge of SAP and Google Workspace is preferred.
- Good written and spoken communication skills.
- Experience in supply management or purchasing operations.
- Comfort using basic IT tools, especially Google-based tools.
- Understanding of the industry, such as aircraft component manufacturing, aircraft maintenance organizations, or aircraft spare-parts distribution.
- Ability to work well in a cross-functional team.
- Careful, systematic approach with strong attention to detail.
- Proactive, adaptable, and able to stay effective under pressure or conflict.
- Good prioritization skills.
- Service-minded attitude.
- Capable of working independently in an international environment.
