Job description

Overview

An international life sciences recruitment team is hiring a Project Manager for a supply chain transformation assignment on behalf of a multinational biopharmaceutical company in Ireland. The position is fully remote within Ireland and begins as an initial 12-month contract, with strong potential for extension.

The role centers on helping define and roll out a new operating model across supply chain and manufacturing. You will support the shift from design into implementation by coordinating deployment work across process, systems, and master data streams.

This is a strong fit for a structured, collaborative project professional who can work effectively in a complex environment and help drive delivery with a focus on operational excellence.

What you will do

  • Coordinate deployment activities for the new supply chain operating model across several manufacturing locations.
  • Create and maintain detailed plans, schedules, and action logs to keep delivery on track for scope, timeline, and budget.
  • Work with stakeholders across Supply Chain, Manufacturing, PMO, IT/Business Technology Solutions, and other functions to align priorities and expectations.
  • Run project meetings, follow up on deliverables, and communicate progress, issues, risks, and dependencies clearly to project teams and leadership.
  • Use PMO tools, templates, and project management practices in line with company standards.
  • Assist with deployment planning for process, systems, and master data workstreams.
  • Track project milestones, performance, and financials, and escalate risks in a timely manner.
  • Look for ways to improve deployment efficiency, execution quality, and cross-functional teamwork.
  • Support change management and continuous improvement efforts tied to the new operating model.
  • Help strengthen PMO practices and project execution standards over time.

What we are looking for

  • A bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Science, or a related discipline.
  • Three to six years of experience in project management, program management, supply chain, operations, or a similar business setting.
  • Prior exposure to complex cross-functional projects, ideally involving supply chain, operations, systems, or process deployment.
  • Working knowledge of project management methods and tools; experience with MS Project and project risk assessment is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to share updates, decisions, actions, and issues with limited supervision.
  • Good stakeholder management and teamwork skills across varied groups and functions.
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities, deadlines, and deliverables in a fast-moving environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, with both strategic and creative thinking.
  • Financial awareness, including the ability to assess project performance and return on investment.
  • Willingness and ability to travel for business when required to support deployment work across sites.

Preferred background

  • Experience in supply chain, manufacturing, or operations environments supporting transformation or deployment initiatives.
  • Exposure to systems implementation or process improvement projects.
  • Project management certifications, plus familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or process excellence methods.
  • Experience working across multiple sites or within a global organization.

This is an initial 12-month contract with a strong possibility of extension. The assignment is fully remote from Ireland, with travel expected as needed for deployment support.
