Role Overview and Responsibilities

The Supply Chain Lead will oversee the end-to-end supply chain operations within the Ghana office, ensuring smooth coordination of procurement, production, and distribution activities while optimizing cost efficiency and timely delivery. Key duties include:

• Leading all supply chain functions including sourcing, production scheduling, inventory management, and distribution planning.
• Maintaining optimal inventory levels by monitoring turnover to reduce holding expenses.
• Negotiating vendor agreements to obtain competitive pricing and favorable contract terms.
• Designing and implementing improvements to streamline supply chain workflows and boost operational efficiency.
• Analyzing supply chain performance data to identify risks, emerging trends, and areas for enhancement.
• Ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and industry best practices.
• Optimizing transportation logistics to lower costs and shorten delivery lead times.
• Forecasting product demand and managing inventory planning to satisfy customer requirements.
• Collaborating across departments to synchronize supply chain strategies with organizational goals.
• Monitoring supplier performance continually to guarantee quality and dependability.
• Proactively addressing and resolving any supply chain interruptions or challenges.
• Maintaining precise records including inventory, transaction logs, and contractual documentation.
• Managing and training supply chain personnel to uphold compliance with policies and operational standards.
• Keeping abreast of industry developments, innovative technologies, and modern best practices in supply chain management.
• Preparing detailed reports and presentations showcasing supply chain metrics and improvement initiatives.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or a closely related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience in supply chain management, procurement, or logistics operations.
• Excellent analytical abilities paired with strong problem-solving skills.
• Proficient negotiation skills and experience managing vendor relationships.
• Familiarity with supply chain management tools and software such as ERP systems and inventory management platforms.
• In-depth knowledge of procurement procedures, inventory controls, and logistics coordination.
• Capability to efficiently multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and adhere to deadlines in a dynamic environment.
