About the Role

Berean Group International, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Procurement & Supply Chain Manager to oversee procurement activities within a multifaceted electronics manufacturing setting dedicated to Aerospace, Defense, and Space sectors. This position, based in Coxsackie, New York, includes relocation assistance and offers a permanent full-time engagement.

The role involves leadership of a team comprising 6 to 7 buyers, managing strategic sourcing processes, enhancing supplier performance, and procurement of high-reliability electronic products. Key areas include procurement of raw materials, commodity sourcing such as aluminum, titanium, and composite materials, as well as driving negotiations and cost-saving initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and guidance to a purchasing team of 6 to 7 professionals.
• Oversee procurement of raw materials essential for manufacturing.
• Collaborate closely with the manufacturing division to align procurement with production needs.
• Source and manage key commodities including aluminum, titanium, and composite materials.
• Lead strategic sourcing efforts, conduct supplier negotiations, and manage supplier performance to reduce costs.

Required Qualifications

• Between 6 and 8 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management.
• Proven record of managing a procurement team within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience specific to the Aerospace & Defense industry is mandatory.
• Strong expertise in metal fabrication processes.
• Hands-on experience supporting on-site manufacturing operations is essential.
• Experience with aerostructures manufacturing rather than electronics is required.
• Background in producing aircraft structural components for major clients such as Boeing and Airbus is preferred.
• Capability to quickly integrate and function effectively with minimal ramp-up time.
