Job description

About the Role

Google seeks a proactive Supply Chain Manager dedicated to directing all aspects of supply chain readiness and execution for essential Data Center Equipment. This role emphasizes management of large-scale products such as construction modules and high-value hardware integral to Google's global Data Center infrastructure.

As the main intermediary between Google and its suppliers, the incumbent will oversee the entire material, inventory, and production readiness lifecycle from product inception through mass deployment. The position demands expertise in supply chain, manufacturing, and procurement to establish and enhance processes ensuring timely, efficient, and high-quality product deliveries worldwide. Leadership is required to educate and promote supply chain best practices among internal teams and external partners, supporting Google's ambitious data center expansion plans.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee end-to-end material readiness to confirm clear-to-build status for data center equipment, implementing supply chain strategies for global production increases and inventory management to reduce excess risk.
  • Create and embed new processes concerning material, inventory, and production management aimed at reducing lead times and expanding global capacity.
  • Act as the primary contact with suppliers, supervising production timelines, purchase orders, and strategic inventory buffers.
  • Detect supply chain risks and execute mitigation strategies to maintain seamless operations; document the global supply chain structure including procurement and logistics.
  • Represent the organization in program meetings by delivering schedule and risk assessments, collaborating with engineering, planning, and category management to optimize systems and grow team capabilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience required, with a minimum of 2 years in supply chain management.
  • At least 2 years of procurement or operations experience within manufacturing or technology sectors.
  • Experience overseeing complete product lifecycles including new product introductions (NPI) and end-of-life (EOL) product phase-outs.
  • Preferred: Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related discipline.
  • Experience negotiating early funding and managing capacity across multiple global suppliers.
  • Background in data center operations, construction, hyperscale cloud infrastructure, or large-scale capital equipment supply chains.
  • Proven success delivering complex products and managing large projects, coupled with strong knowledge of project management frameworks.
  • Adept at tailoring communications for technical and non-technical audiences, including executive stakeholders.
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments using critical thinking and sound judgement.

Compensation & Benefits

In Ireland, the role offers a salary range of €94,000 to €96,500 per year, complemented by a 15% bonus target, equity participation, and additional benefits.
