Supply Chain Director

Overview

A leading UK-owned premium FMCG company, experiencing rapid growth, seeks a Supply Chain Director based in Southampton with travel requirements. Reporting directly to the Chief Operations Officer, the role centers on designing and executing a comprehensive global supply chain strategy to enable scalable growth while ensuring excellent service, inventory control, and profitability.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the overall supply chain strategy.
• Oversee procurement processes and manage supplier relationships.
• Lead supply and demand planning activities.
• Manage inventory levels and optimize working capital.
• Coordinate supply chain aspects of introducing new production lines.
• Drive operational excellence across the supply chain.
• Provide leadership and foster team development.

Experience & Skills Required

• Proven senior supply chain leadership experience in fast-paced, high-volume environments.
• Expertise with international supply chains, global supplier networks, and third-party logistics (3PL) providers.
• Hands-on management of procurement, planning, and logistics functions.
• A track record of delivering significant cost reductions and working capital improvements.
• Experience in project management and leading organizational change.
• Familiarity with ERP and advanced planning systems.
