Job Overview

This role focuses on implementing supply chain and logistics best practices to optimize purchasing and inventory management at Kaiser Permanente's Denver location. The analyst applies compliance standards, identifies vendor and inventory issues, and uses current systems to improve business processes aligned with future supply chain strategies.

Key Duties

  • Collaborate effectively with team members by sharing information, seeking feedback, and adapting to change to meet business goals.
  • Complete assignments independently using relevant knowledge and resources, escalating issues when necessary, and proactively identifying improvement areas.
  • Support asset accounting by managing transfers, disposals, and ensuring policies prevent asset misuse, aiming for cost savings.
  • Handle customer service concerns related to vendor reports, billing, deliveries, returns, and recalls with guidance, along with producing routine performance reports.
  • Maintain inventory levels through problem resolution in receiving and distribution, analyze demand forecasts to prevent obsolescence, and manage automated inventory systems adhering to reorder and rotation standards.
  • Where applicable, provide guidance to staff involved in ordering and inventory activities.
  • Participate in enhancing supply chain operations by supporting logistics, carrier evaluations, and adopting new business operational models focused on procurement and logistics.
  • Execute purchasing strategies consistent with national sourcing plans by processing requests, sourcing alternatives promptly, and resolving purchasing issues while implementing cost-saving measures.
  • Adhere to all regulatory and company policies governing purchasing, inventory management, and distribution, including participation in compliance reporting and corrective actions.
  • Manage vendor relationships by resolving issues, assisting in onboarding and contract administration, supporting audit-based corrective actions, and ensuring vendors meet operational and financial goals.
  • Conduct data analysis on utilization, quality, inventory, and logistics routes, administer customer satisfaction surveys, and prepare standard reports to inform business decisions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Material Management, Operations Research or similar field; OR three years of relevant experience in materials or inventory control, logistics, finance, or distribution.
  • Minimum one year experience working with databases and spreadsheets; preferred three years.
  • Preferred experience collaborating cross-functionally across different departments or business lines.

Additional Information

The position requires onsite work at 2045 Franklin St., Denver, Colorado 80205, with a standard 40-hour workweek from Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:45 PM. Travel up to 50% of the time is expected. Employee status is regular, full-time, and exempt from union affiliation. Salary ranges from $60,500 to $78,210 annually, dependent on experience, education, and market alignment.
