Job description
Role Overview
This position is responsible for independently overseeing IT vendor performance, contractual adherence, and compliance with governance standards. The role is designed to support transparency, accountability, and strong value delivery across vendor relationships, while staying aligned with Qatar Government procurement and audit expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Track vendor compliance with contract clauses, service-level commitments, performance indicators, and company policies.
- Carry out regular reviews of supplier performance, compliance status, and associated risks.
- Check and document vendor submissions, milestone completion, and payment-related claims.
- Keep vendor governance dashboards and performance logs current and accurate.
- Organize review sessions and capture outcomes, risks, and follow-up actions in writing.
- Assist internal and external audits by sharing verified records of performance and compliance.
- Spot control weaknesses or process gaps and propose corrective measures.
- Help improve vendor management processes and reporting clarity.
- Define and enforce good practices for storing, tracking, and safeguarding contract outputs and performance records so that documentation remains consistent, traceable, and compliant with organizational policies and audit needs.
Skills and Competencies
- In-depth understanding of vendor governance, compliance controls, and audit processes.
- Working knowledge of IT outsourcing models, SLA tracking, and contract assurance.
- Strong analytical ability, reporting discipline, and attention to detail with risk awareness.
- Hands-on experience with ERP or e-procurement platforms such as SAP, Oracle, or similar systems.
- Excellent coordination, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills.
Requirements
- At least 13 years of professional experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline; a master’s degree is preferred.
- Prior background in vendor governance, contract administration, or audit/compliance, preferably in utilities, energy, or government environments in Qatar, in line with the Skill Band requirements referenced under Article 4.2.4 of Appendix A.
- Familiarity with Qatar Government procurement and audit frameworks.
- Professional certifications such as PMP, CIPS, ITIL, or CIA are an advantage.
