Role Overview
This is a full-time, three-shift supervisory position based in Waterford, County Waterford, Ireland. The Supervisor will lead FILM production and oversee the implementation of new technology within the team.
Responsibilities
- Oversee FILM production processes and introduce new technologies through effective team leadership.
- Develop and verify Standard Work procedures for managers, Operator Shift Supervisors (OSS), Team Leads, and operators.
- Train team members and actively participate in workplace innovations aligned with the tier management system.
- Manage production metrics including Planned Performance Indicators (PPI), yield rates, downtime, quality metrics, and resource utilization spanning both machinery and personnel.
- Initiate improvements to working methods and procedures.
- Provide strong technical leadership during shifts to promptly resolve operational issues, meeting ambitious Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and improving operational performance.
- Encourage decision-making at operator and technician levels by fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Champion a culture of quality and ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements such as FDA and current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP).
- Conduct performance appraisals for operators and identify necessary training and development plans.
- Facilitate effective communication within the unit and across different departments.
- Plan and manage attendance and timekeeping of team members.
- Maintain high standards of Environmental Health & Safety practices in the workplace.
- Achieve budget goals related to output and expenditures.
Key cGMP Compliance Responsibilities
- Ensure continual compliance with manufacturing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), gowning and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements, hygiene, and environmental health and safety policies.
- Engage fully in all designated GMP training programs and ensure training records are accurate and current.
Qualifications and Skills
- Possession of a 3rd level qualification, preferably in a technical discipline.
- Proven supervisory and management experience in manufacturing environments compliant with FDA and cGMP standards is essential.
- Strong leadership capabilities to motivate and guide the process team by providing clear directions and facilitating teamwork.
