Role Overview
Join RAC as a Superflex Roadside Mechanic, delivering flexible and reliable service to help get drivers back on the road. This part-time position involves working an average of 40 hours per week in the local Lancaster cluster area, including Lancaster, Morecambe, Heysham, and Carnforth. You'll have your roster ahead of time, with core hours confirmed shortly before shifts, which run between 06:00 and 02:00, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
Key Responsibilities
Provide varied roadside assistance including diagnostics, repairing flat tires, and flat batteries. Manage and maintain your van stocked with necessary tools and parts, complete accurate reporting of each call-out, and deliver top-quality customer service while representing RAC's trusted brand.
Qualifications and Requirements
Candidates should have either an NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent, with a minimum of two years of experience, or over five years of experience as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic. A full UK driving license with fewer than six penalty points is mandatory.
