About the Role
Join PwC New Zealand's AI Centre of Excellence in Auckland as a Summer Intern starting November 2026. This position is a fixed-term full-time role focused on accelerating AI adoption and delivering practical AI solutions. You will contribute to developing AI agents, low-code tools, and process automation solutions that improve operational efficiency and client outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the AI Centre of Excellence and cross-functional teams to identify business challenges addressable with AI.
- Participate in the design, development, testing, and implementation of AI agents and low-code applications from conceptual stages through production deployment.
- Work closely with product management, engineering, data specialists, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable and responsible AI solutions.
- Promote AI adoption through demonstrations, user support, and knowledge sharing sessions.
- Continuously improve solutions by resolving issues, incorporating user feedback, and creating reusable components.
Candidate Profile
- Currently studying towards or recently completed a qualification in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related disciplines, or possess equivalent practical experience.
- Passionate about AI, automation, low-code development, and emerging technologies demonstrated through academic projects, internships, or work experiences.
- Ability to translate conceptual ideas into effective technical solutions, backed by analytical thinking and a growth-oriented mindset.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, comfortable collaborating across technical and non-technical teams.
- Familiarity with AI tools, low-code platforms, automation, or prototyping technologies such as M365, Copilot Studio, Claude Code, ChatGPT/Codex, APIs, or workflow automation tools is highly desirable.
- Awareness of responsible AI principles or willingness to adopt ethical and practical approaches to emerging technology.
- Previous exposure to professional services, client engagement, or technology-driven business transformations is advantageous.
- Must have legal work eligibility in New Zealand at the time of application.
