Subject Head & SME Reviewer for UK Curriculum Question Bank Development

Project Overview

We are developing a comprehensive AI-assisted question bank aligned with the UK curriculum focusing on Mathematics (KS3, KS4, KS5), IGCSE English, and IELTS Academic for KS5/A Level and IELTS band levels. This initiative integrates AI-generated content with expert academic reviews to guarantee content accuracy, curriculum alignment, appropriate difficulty levels, and overall assessment quality.

Roles Available

We are recruiting for two roles within three subject areas: Subject Head / Peer Reviewer and SME Reviewer. Applicants should select the role and subject area matching their expertise: Mathematics, IGCSE English, or IELTS Academic.

Subject Head / Peer Reviewer Responsibilities

• Conduct peer reviews of SME-edited questions in the designated subject.
• Ensure SME corrections are thorough, precise, and academically valid.
• Validate the correctness of questions, answers, solutions, model answers, mark schemes, and band-descriptor alignment.
• Confirm appropriate grade, difficulty, score value, question type, and exam board compatibility.
• Verify syllabus/topic/knowledge-point allocation where available.
• Identify unnoticed errors in calculations, solution steps, grammar, phrasing, equations, visuals, audio transcripts, and figures.
• Ensure all visuals and multimedia elements are accurate, labelled, relevant, and well integrated.
• Approve final questions for QA or return them for amendments.
• Maintain consistent academic standards across large content sets.
• Subject-specific verifications: For Mathematics - calculations and visuals; for English - grammar, vocabulary, and stylistic consistency; for IELTS - alignment with official band descriptors and exam specifications.

SME Reviewer Responsibilities

• Review and correct AI-generated questions, answers, and solutions/model answers within the assigned subject.
• Check academic accuracy, logical consistency, and final correctness.
• Confirm grade level, difficulty, scoring, question type, and exam-board style.
• Ensure accurate mapping to syllabus and knowledge points.
• Rectify errors in content including equations, notation, grammar, graphs, diagrams, and audio transcripts.
• Enhance clarity, wording, formatting, and overall assessment quality.
• Flag poorly aligned, repetitive, or error-prone content for replacement.
• Guarantee British English usage, consistency, and originality.
• Subject-specific tasks: Mathematics - accuracy in calculations and solutions; English - grammar and comprehension checks; IELTS - verifying all four skills and audio transcript accuracy.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, English, English Language & Literature, Linguistics, or related field required.
• Solid expertise in assigned subject across KS3-KS5 or IELTS Academic.
• Experience in assessment review, question bank evaluation, or educational content QA.
• Proficiency with Excel and Google Sheets.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
• Comfortable working with AI-assisted content.
• Master's degree, UK curriculum experience (Cambridge, Pearson Edexcel, OxfordAQA), educational publishing, academic leadership, and IELTS-specific experience are preferred.

Additional Information

• This is a full-time onsite position based in Kota, Rajasthan, India.
• A daily availability of at least 5 hours is expected.
• Candidates must commit to long-term participation and meet daily review targets.
• Completion of a screening task and adherence to a nondisclosure agreement (NDA) are mandatory.
