Key Responsibilities

• Carefully edit and proofread sports news pieces, features, and related content ensuring grammatical accuracy, syntactical precision, clarity, factual correctness, and alignment with editorial guidelines.
• Create engaging and precise headlines, sub-headlines (decks), and captions that captivate readers while reflecting the true essence of the articles.
• Optimize content for online consumption, incorporating SEO best practices and facilitating social media sharing by recommending appropriate keywords and formatting.
• Conduct thorough fact-checking and source verification to preserve journalistic integrity.
• Enhance narrative structure, flow, and overall presentation to boost reader engagement and comprehension.
• Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards, including copyright restrictions and defamation laws.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

• Possess 1 to 3 years’ experience in sports news writing within the relevant sector.
• Hold a bachelor's degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, or a related area.
• Demonstrate strong communication and editorial skills coupled with writing excellence.
• Familiarity with new media platforms and digital publishing standards.
• Fluent and authoritative command of Hindi.
