Role overview
RAPSYS TECHNOLOGIES PTE LTD is hiring a Student Management Officer in Singapore to support student discipline, supervision, school operations, and event coordination. The role requires a hands-on professional who can manage cases, maintain order, and work closely with school teams and stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
- Work with the Student Engagement and Discipline (SED) and Student Management (SM) teams to carry out positive discipline approaches.
- Carry out fact-finding and case reviews by checking CCTV footage, speaking with teachers, staff, and students, and preparing clear recommendations and findings.
- Handle late-coming cases, keep records and documentation current, and prepare incident reports.
- Supervise students serving internal suspension or detention, and assist in locating students who cannot be accounted for.
- Monitor and report prohibited behaviour among students, including vaping and smoking.
- Maintain a visible presence that encourages proper conduct, grooming, and appearance.
- Patrol assigned areas such as the school canteen, free play areas, toilets, and the surrounding community.
- Manage minor disputes in the canteen during recess and lunch.
- Ensure safe use of equipment in play areas and help calm peer conflicts.
- Watch for inappropriate activity in toilets, especially vaping and smoking.
- Build working relationships with nearby residents, stall vendors, and grassroots partners to help monitor student behaviour outside school grounds.
- Support school events with logistics and student management, including runs, cohort camps, and emergency exercises.
- Assist the Examination Committee with escort duties and invigilation support for special rooms.
- Support meetings and conferences involving parents and students.
- Help with administrative and operational reviews on non-student days, including safety checks, emergency readiness, and facility maintenance.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in any discipline is required.
- At least 5 years of work experience in youth management is needed.
- Experience handling teenagers in disciplinary matters, case management, or behavioural support is highly valued.
- Background in national uniformed services is preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office is needed for reporting and case documentation.
- Excellent organisation, interpersonal, and communication skills are essential.
- The candidate should be emotionally steady, resilient, culturally aware, and able to balance firmness with care.
- Ability to calm tense situations, mediate conflicts, and guide student behaviour while serving as a positive example is important.
