Job description
Role Overview
Welthungerhilfe is seeking a student assistant to support its Vocational Education and Training portfolio, with a particular focus on the global Skill Up! program. The role is based in Bonn and is intended for students who want to contribute to meaningful development work while continuing their studies.
The position starts on 15 September 2026, runs for an initial period of one year, and offers a strong possibility of extension. Working time is 20 hours per week. Partial mobile work within Germany can be arranged with the team, but fully remote work is not possible. Compensation is set at 15 Euro per hour.
Since 2015, Welthungerhilfe has been working on vocational education and training in regions where opportunities are limited. The Skill Up! initiative is designed to improve young people’s employability and support their transition into the labor market. This role sits within the Sector Strategy, Knowledge and Learning Unit and contributes to the ongoing development of skills-related program work.
Key Duties
You will help shape the next phase of Skill Up! 2030 through both administrative and content-related support. The position combines research, coordination, digital collaboration, and knowledge management, while also giving exposure to work across different departments.
Additional Information
Applicants should note that Welthungerhilfe follows a strict counter-terrorism screening process. Anyone offered a role will be checked against lists of known and suspected terrorists. The organization also emphasizes diversity, inclusion, and equal treatment in its hiring practices.
Applications must be submitted through the organization’s online recruitment system by 19 July 2026. The named contact person for this role is Tanvi Munot.
