About the Role
Welthungerhilfe is hiring a Student Assistant for its Global Nutrition Team in Bonn. This is a part-time role designed for students who want to contribute to an organization focused on humanitarian aid and development cooperation while continuing their studies.
The position starts as soon as possible and comes with an initial contract period of 6 months, with a strong possibility of extension. The working arrangement is 20 hours per week. Mobile work within Germany can be arranged with the team, but fully remote work is not available. Compensation is EUR 15 per hour.
In this position, you will support the Sector Strategy, Knowledge & Learning (SEC) Unit, mainly within the nutrition area. The role offers close collaboration with colleagues across departments and exposure to the work of an international development organization.

Responsibilities
- Maintain, assess, and work with databases and datasets related to nutrition and WASH.
- Build and improve dashboards, data visualizations, and reports that help support technical decisions.
- Prepare and present findings independently for presentations, reports, and publications.
- Assist in improving data management and monitoring workflows.
- Help plan, organize, and carry out meetings, workshops, and events.
- Review and update internal topic pages, and support the preparation of articles and presentations.
Requirements
- You are currently enrolled at a university or college, preferably in data science, statistics, computer science, nutrition and food sciences, WASH, or a similar field.
- You have a genuine interest in data analysis, data visualization, and presenting complex information clearly.
- Some prior exposure to datasets and analytical or visualization tools such as Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar software is preferred.
- You are interested in nutrition, WASH, or international development cooperation.
- You enjoy working in an international and cross-cultural environment.
- You work in a structured, self-directed way and have strong IT and English skills.
