About the Role

This position is tailored for seasoned management consulting professionals who seek to contribute to cutting-edge AI research focused on evaluating the performance of AI in real-world consulting scenarios. Instead of generating traditional client deliverables, the consultant will harness their expertise to define excellence criteria, create evaluation frameworks, and critically assess model outputs with comprehensive written explanations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed, task-specific evaluation standards for various consulting outputs, such as market analyses, strategic guidance, financial modeling, client presentations, and implementation plans.
• Review and rate AI-generated and human-produced samples according to these defined criteria.
• Compose thorough written justifications supporting every assessment score and decision made.
• Maintain consistent, evidence-driven professional judgment to ensure evaluations are reliable and can withstand scrutiny.
• Critically analyze consulting deliverables for analytical depth, strategic insight, precision, clarity, and readiness for client use.
• Utilize structured feedback from senior reviewers to refine evaluation processes and judgments.

Required Experience and Skills

• At least five years of experience in professional management consulting.
• Background in prestigious strategy or management consulting firms, including McKinsey, Bain, BCG, or comparable leaders.
• Expertise in structured problem-solving, market sizing, financial analysis, business case development, and communicating at the executive level.
• Proven ability to critically evaluate strategic recommendations, quantitative work, and client-ready presentation materials.
• Excellent written communication skills with the capability to clearly articulate reasons why deliverables meet or fall short of consulting standards.
• Meticulous attention to detail coupled with analytical rigor and consistent application of professional judgment.
• Comfortable with receiving and integrating structured feedback to calibrate evaluations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in reviewing or evaluating consulting work outputs.
• Mentorship background involving analysts or associates and reviewing their deliverables.
• Experience related to AI training, model evaluation, or projects combining human input with data.
• Diverse exposure to multiple industries, business functions, or strategic problem domains.

Compensation and Engagement Details

• Competitive hourly pay ranging from $150 to $220.
• Payments issued weekly.
• Engagement as an independent contractor.
