Job description
Role overview
In this role, you will act as the main point of contact for a defined customer base. Your focus will be on understanding client challenges, identifying how they use the product, and creating meaningful business impact. Rather than limiting the work to renewals, you will also shape expansion opportunities through upselling and cross-selling, with the aim of helping customers succeed over the long term.
You will coordinate multiple stakeholders, contribute a strategic perspective, and take ownership of building durable partnerships that continue to grow over time.
Account management and customer growth
You will independently manage a portfolio of 60 to 100 mid-market and enterprise customers. Your job will involve spotting opportunities, prioritizing topics based on customer signals, and developing each account in a structured and strategic way.
Renewals and contract handling
You will own the renewal process for active contracts, including preparing offers, handling price negotiations, and aligning with the relevant stakeholders throughout the process.
Expansion and value selling
Working together with the Customer Success Manager, you will uncover cross-sell and upsell opportunities, communicate the value of additional products, and translate those opportunities into concrete next steps. In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor who clearly demonstrates customer value and return on investment.
Documentation and forecasting
You will keep account activity updated in Salesforce and Planhat, build reliable forecasts, and define clear next actions for each deal.
What you should bring
The ideal candidate has 3 to 4 years of experience selling B2B SaaS products in either new-business or existing-business sales. You should be comfortable working with mid-market and enterprise customers, including complex decision-making processes.
Value-based selling should be a natural part of your approach, with a focus on solutions and measurable business impact rather than product features. Experience with forecasting is also important, including the ability to assess opportunities realistically and turn that into credible projections.
You need to communicate clearly, explain complex topics in a simple way, and choose the right words for both clients and internal colleagues. Curiosity, openness to learning, the ability to ask questions, reflect on processes, and take feedback constructively are also important.
Fluency in both German and English at minimum C1 level is required.
Benefits and work environment
The position offers a high degree of autonomy, giving you the freedom to use your expertise and work in the way that suits you best. The company is profitable, generates more than 45 million EUR in ARR, and continues to grow in a sustainable way with the support of a leading private-equity investor focused on technology and software.
You can expect fair and achievable commission targets, a highly collaborative and high-performing team, and regular company events and team on-sites in Berlin. Well-being is supported through 30 vacation days, one additional day for mental health, and access to the Nilo.health platform.
For personal development, the role includes clear career paths and an annual learning budget of 2,000 EUR. Additional benefits include an Urban Sports Club membership, a Hrmony subscription, JobRad, or a contribution toward the Deutschland-Ticket.
The company has a nice office in central Berlin, and while Berlin residency is preferred, you may also work 100% remotely from anywhere in Germany. A workation policy is available for up to 12 weeks of remote work from any country or continent.
