Job description

Position Overview

The Ministry of Justice in New Zealand is seeking a Strategic People Experience Business Partner on a fixed-term contract until mid-May 2027. This role is designed for an experienced HR Business Partner who collaborates with senior leaders to resolve organisational challenges, influence strategic directions, and support the development of high-performing teams.

Role Responsibilities

As a key advisor, you will work closely with Deputy Secretaries and senior leadership, aligning people strategies with the Ministry's broader strategic goals. You will translate complex business priorities into actionable workforce strategies, focusing on leadership capability, organisational performance, workforce planning, culture, talent management, change leadership, and organisational capability enhancement. Data-driven insights will underpin your recommendations, and collaboration across People Experience specialists and enabling functions is essential to achieving impactful outcomes.

Compensation

The salary range for this appointment is from NZD 112,766 to NZD 145,388 annually, depending on experience and capabilities.
