Role overview
This role sits within Google’s Global Partnerships organization and focuses on discovering, shaping, and scaling strategic opportunities with external partners. The team supports Google products and experiences across areas such as advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments, YouTube, Google TV, and Commerce. The position is based in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, with the option to express a preferred work location between Mumbai and Bengaluru.
What you will do
- Develop and manage relationships with partners across the ecosystem, including strategic partnerships with organizations of different sizes.
- Create partner initiatives that span products and design go-to-market approaches that support broader Google objectives in fast-moving industries.
- Lead complex partnership discussions, including new agreements, renewals, and expansions, while building alignment with internal and external senior stakeholders.
- Own and optimize ongoing partner agreements, strengthening long-term value and relationship quality.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams across regions to launch, improve, and scale new features and user experiences.
Minimum qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent hands-on professional experience.
- At least 7 years of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, or investment banking.
- Background in one or more relevant industries such as consumer electronics, automotive, OEMs, telecom, e-commerce/retail, apps, advertising, gaming, or technology.
- Experience handling agreements or partnership arrangements.
- Proven ability to work with C-level leaders and collaborate across multiple levels of management.
Preferred qualifications
- A master’s degree or another advanced qualification.
- About 5 years of experience in partnerships, go-to-market, or marketing, including management of cross-functional projects.
- Experience overseeing complex partnerships from start to finish.
- Strong understanding of India’s app ecosystem, including key categories, verticals, and business models such as ads, in-app purchases, and subscriptions.
- Ability to identify business opportunities, evaluate commercial impact, structure agreements, and negotiate terms with strategic partners.
- Experience collaborating with external partners on co-promotion and cross-promotion plans.
