About the Role
We are seeking a Strategic Buyer to become a vital part of our dynamic and fast-moving Procurement Team based in Dahlewitz near Berlin. This role offers the unique opportunity to contribute to the development and execution of procurement strategies, identify and secure partnerships with leading suppliers, negotiate advantageous contracts, and oversee contract and supplier management to ensure a robust and efficient supply chain crucial for our business success.
Key Responsibilities
- Support strategic sourcing initiatives to optimize value across specified commodities and categories by understanding supplier base, economics, and market trends.
- Assist in crafting and implementing integrated strategies for commodities, categories, and suppliers, working synergistically with cross-functional teams to align with current and future manufacturing needs.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate timely execution of purchasing agreements.
- Manage daily interactions with suppliers and partners to ensure effective collaboration and performance.
- Execute contract management activities aimed at supplier performance oversight and identify opportunities for cost savings through pricing, specifications, and volume adjustments.
- Utilize project management skills to devise comprehensive solutions in complex situations and help deploy risk management practices for supply chain risk assessment and mitigation.
- Ensure strict adherence to company policies and regulatory procedures, maintaining accurate purchasing documentation.
- Stay informed about market developments and emerging technologies relevant to the procurement field.
Qualifications and Skills
- A degree in business, economics, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Strong analytical aptitude with the ability to interpret financial proposals and perform detailed data analysis using diverse tools.
- Familiarity with tendering processes, negotiation, and drafting of supplier contracts.
- Proven experience in supplier relationship management and contract oversight.
- Effective planning and project management capabilities.
- Clear and concise communication skills across organizational levels.
- A global perspective with experience working across different cultures and business environments.
- Fluent proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
