Job description
Purpose of the Role
The position exists to assist the CEO in delivering the family office strategy. It focuses on strengthening governance, coordinating professional advisers, and backing strategic work, investments, and important stakeholder relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Support
- Partner with the CEO to advance priority initiatives and strategic objectives.
- Help coordinate cross-functional projects spanning the family office and associated portfolio interests.
- Draft concise briefings, presentations, and decision recommendations for leadership.
- Track progress against agreed actions and ensure objectives are being delivered.
Governance and Risk
- Set up and sustain governance structures and working practices.
- Organize board, shareholder, and broader governance matters.
- Contribute to risk oversight and structured decision-making.
- Make sure approvals, decisions, and follow-up actions are properly recorded and monitored.
Adviser and Stakeholder Management
- Handle coordination with external legal, tax, and other professional advisers.
- Align adviser input across several projects and transactions.
- Cultivate strong working relationships with key stakeholders.
Investment and Commercial Support
- Assist with evaluating investments and supporting wider strategic assignments.
- Coordinate due diligence workstreams and draw together adviser feedback.
- Support deal execution and portfolio oversight when needed.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is highly structured, commercially aware, and able to operate credibly with senior leadership. The role suits someone who manages relationships well, handles sensitive matters discreetly, and is motivated by continued career growth.
Essential Experience and Qualifications
- Previous professional experience in Qatar is required.
- An established network within Qatar is essential.
- Overall experience of 10 to 17 years is needed.
- Strong commercial judgement and strategic thinking are expected.
- Background supporting senior executives, boards, or shareholders is important.
- Experience coordinating external advisers and stakeholders is required.
- Excellent communication and relationship management abilities are necessary.
- Proven ability to lead complex projects and initiatives is essential.
Desirable Experience and Qualifications
- Exposure to family office environments would be an advantage.
- Experience in corporate development or mergers and acquisitions is preferred.
- Prior involvement in governance or board-level matters is beneficial.
- Investment or portfolio management exposure would be useful.
- Experience in a holding company, investment group, or diversified business is desirable.
- Real estate investment experience is a plus.
