Storeroom Clerk

Role overview

This position supports the smooth flow of parts and merchandise through the storeroom and warehouse. The main goal is to make sure items are picked, binned, and handled accurately and on time, while keeping the area clean, orderly, and safe.

Key duties

• Pick invoice items promptly and retrieve the correct merchandise from bins for delivery to the relevant personnel.
• Place newly received goods into the correct bins in a timely and proper manner.
• Re-bin parts accurately whenever stock placement needs to be updated.
• Load and unload merchandise from trucks or containers.
• Prepare merchandise for wholesale customers or branches, ensuring the right parts and quantities are selected.
• Replenish stock and maintain the assigned bin section in a neat condition.
• Carry out sweeping and general cleaning tasks in the storeroom as assigned.
• Set up boxes for disposal in line with company procedure.
• Use forklifts, hand trucks, and other warehouse or storeroom tools only when authorized.
• Support security-related duties as needed.

• Bins remain orderly and well maintained.
• Stock is placed into bins correctly.

Qualifications and experience

Applicants should have at least three CSEC/CXC subjects. A certificate in automotive studies is not required, but it would be considered an advantage. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred, with two years of related experience required.

Working conditions and physical demands

This job involves physical effort and warehouse-style conditions. It may require long periods of standing, lifting heavy items, weekend work, and exposure to physical strain.
