Job description

Role overview

The Office Attendant works under the Human Resource and Administration Manager and is responsible for keeping the workplace clean, completing assigned tasks on time, and providing warm, professional support to employees and visitors. The role also requires a strong sense of discretion and confidentiality.

  • Office areas remain clean and presentable.
  • Assigned tasks are completed within the required timeframes.
  • Professional behavior and appropriate dress are consistently maintained.
  • High standards of personal hygiene are followed at all times.
  • Employees and customers receive courteous service.

Core duties

  • Clean all assigned offices each day within the scheduled timeframe.
  • Wipe employees’ phones daily and keep workstations neat and orderly.
  • Clean assigned bathrooms and freshen them daily as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness behind the counter at the assigned branch.
  • Ensure utensils, glasses, and similar items are clean and ready for use.
  • Prepare and serve refreshments for meetings when requested.
  • Clean the microwave once daily, or more often if needed during the day.
  • Keep the refrigerator clean and carry out a full cleaning once a week.
  • Keep the copy and fax area tidy at all times.
  • Arrange and straighten the boardroom twice each week.
  • Notify the Human Resource Manager if maintenance issues are noticed in the work environment, such as plumbing concerns.
  • Carry out any other duties needed to support smooth day-to-day operations.

Qualifications and training

  • Requires frequent walking and standing.
  • Some lifting may be required.
