Role Overview
We are looking for a dependable and motivated Storeperson to join our Defence Theatre Logistics team, based at Palmer Barracks, South Guildford WA. This position plays a crucial role in the handling, storage, and distribution of Defence equipment and supplies, operating in a fast-paced environment that emphasizes safety, accuracy, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, store, pick, pack, and dispatch Defence-related equipment and supplies.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Use warehouse management systems (WMS) to manage inventory and generate reports.
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment compliant with Defence regulations and Toll’s Government & Defence contractual standards.
- Collaborate closely with the Operations Manager, Team Leaders, and team members to meet operational objectives.
Candidate Requirements
- Forklift license highly desirable; willingness to obtain if not held.
- Valid C-class driver’s license.
- Current NV1 Security Clearance is mandatory.
- Experience in warehousing or logistics preferred but not essential.
- Capability to work outdoors delivering stores and equipment to Defence personnel in the field.
- Physical fitness to handle manual tasks.
- Strong communication, attention to detail, teamwork, and time management skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety and meeting tight deadlines in a dynamic setting.
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be an Australian citizen.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain an AGSVA Defence Security Clearance (Baseline or higher as applicable).
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment screening including criminal record, medical, and background checks.
