Role summary
Raffles The Red Sea in Umluj, Saudi Arabia is looking for a well-organized Storekeeper to support the resort’s inventory flow and daily store operations. This position is key to keeping supplies accurate, accessible, and available so the property can run smoothly.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee storage areas and keep supplies arranged in a way that is orderly and easy to access.
- Accept deliveries, check them carefully, and log incoming goods and materials.
- Update stock details accurately in digital inventory systems.
- Carry out routine physical stock checks and resolve any differences found.
- Handle supply requests and issue items to different departments across the resort.
- Work closely with the purchasing team to keep inventory at healthy levels and avoid shortages.
- Store all products under suitable conditions, including items that are perishable or require extra care.
- Follow and enforce safety and security measures within the storage spaces.
- Prepare inventory summaries covering stock levels, consumption trends, and related information.
- Help identify outdated, unusable, or damaged stock and arrange for its removal.
Qualifications and experience
- A high school diploma or an equivalent qualification is required.
- Prior work in storekeeping or inventory control is preferred, especially in hospitality.
- Hands-on experience with inventory software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, is important.
- Strong organization and close attention to detail are needed for this role.
- Good numerical ability is necessary for accurate records and stock calculations.
- Clear spoken and written communication skills are expected.
- The job involves lifting and moving items weighing up to 50 lbs and standing for long periods.
- Understanding correct storage methods for different supply types is required.
- Inventory management certification is an advantage.
- Knowledge of hospitality supply chain processes is also preferred.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and public holidays, is required.
