Role Overview

GMG operates over 120 diverse brands in the Middle East, North Africa, and Asia across various sectors including sports retail. This Store Supervisor position at GMG Sports is tasked with leading a team to achieve peak performance in sales, staff coaching, and operational excellence, ensuring the store meets established standards for quality and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive the store towards meeting its yearly sales goals.
• Coordinate staff scheduling and coverage to maintain excellent customer service consistently.
• Conduct operational audits to verify adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Produce and examine sales reports, providing insights about inventory potential and comparing the performance of new versus core product lines.
• Submit daily sales invoices and summaries to the Finance department.
• Address customer needs proactively and resolve complaints efficiently to build long-term customer relationships.
• Maintain visual merchandising in line with brand guidelines.
• Ensure pricing and promotions comply with company policies accurately.
• Supervise after-sales procedures including repair and returns, ensuring proper internal communication.
• Oversee daily store operations such as cash handling, inventory checks, and record maintenance aligned with SOPs.
• Implement robust loss prevention measures focusing on cash handling and minimizing risks of theft or fraud.
• Manage inventory flow including receiving, stocking, restocking, transfers, and resolving discrepancies.
• Maintain store cleanliness and upkeep both inside and out according to brand standards.
• Serve as a cashier during peak times when needed.
• Enforce compliance with SOPs and store appearance standards among the team consistently.
• Set clear performance goals and key performance indicators (KPIs) for team members and apply GMG's performance management processes effectively.
• Provide coaching and mentorship for team members, fostering a culture of continuous feedback and development.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in any field.
• Experience of 4 to 5 years in retail, with at least 3 years in a supervisory capacity handling retail operations.
• Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
• Comprehensive understanding of the retail industry and product categories.
• A strong customer service orientation.
• Competent with Microsoft Office and common retail management software and tools.

Compensation and Career Path

The monthly remuneration for this role is 5500 AED. This position offers the prospect of advancing into store manager or multi-store operations roles within GMG Sports, enhancing your expertise in sales leadership, team management, and operational oversight within a broad retail network.
