Role Summary
As a Store Manager Trainee, you will partner with the Store Manager and help oversee the management team and store staff. The position is designed to build your ability to lead a store, drive sales growth, and support loss prevention activities, including prevention planning and investigation work. You will also participate in a structured training program intended to prepare you to run your own store within the district.
Key Duties
- Work closely with the Store Manager in supervising day-to-day store management and team operations.
- Develop leadership capability while learning how to run the store effectively and increase sales performance.
- Support loss prevention efforts, including prevention tactics and related investigations.
- Set store strategies, sales objectives, and targets, and prepare a communication plan for presentation to GSM teams.
- Help ensure the store consistently meets established standards for condition and presentation.
- Promote a safe workplace and support ongoing safety practices.
- Take responsibility for recruiting store staff and helping build a strong-performing team.

What We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate brings a positive, energetic attitude and strong people leadership skills. You should be comfortable in a fast-changing setting where priorities can shift quickly, and you must be able to make sound decisions with integrity while staying aligned with company policies and business needs. Flexibility for evenings and weekends is required. Previous experience in retail management and customer service is needed, and the employer prefers candidates with a high school diploma or an equivalent qualification.
Compensation
The expected hiring range for this position is CAD 52,000 to CAD 55,000 per year. Final pay may vary depending on the work location, along with job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal and market pay considerations.
