Role Overview
As the Store Manager for the Platypus Shoes outlet at The Palms, you will oversee a team of dedicated casual employees and work closely with your Assistant Store Manager. Your core objectives include boosting sales and key performance indicators (KPIs), mentoring and motivating your team, and ensuring exceptional customer service. Collaboration with the Area Manager to discover growth opportunities and maintain high store standards will be essential, all within an energetic retail setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve sales targets, KPI goals, and maintain excellent visual merchandising standards.
- Lead, inspire, and motivate your team to excel in sales and customer engagement.
- Analyse sales data regularly to celebrate achievements and pinpoint improvement needs.
- Effectively manage staff scheduling and control wage expenses according to company policies.
- Provide coaching and development opportunities to team members, fostering high morale and succession preparedness.
- Oversee inventory, store presentation, and ensure operational excellence.
- Ensure compliance with Occupational Health & Safety regulations.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in a Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager role within a busy retail environment.
- Strong leadership capabilities with a proactive, results-driven approach.
- Excellent communication and team-building skills.
- Experience in driving sales performance and managing store operations.
- Knowledge of stock administration, store operations, and visual merchandising practices.
- Commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
