Store Keeper (Mechanical Workshop) - Ministry of Defense, KSA

Role overview

Greenland Group is hiring a Store Keeper for a mechanical workshop assignment with the Ministry of Defense in Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on keeping workshop inventory accurate, organized, and ready for use so maintenance work is not delayed.

Inventory and stock control

• Keep a close watch on stock movement by using inventory software or manual stock records to ensure essential items do not run short or pile up unnecessarily.
• Set and monitor minimum and maximum stock thresholds, and raise purchase requests when supplies need to be replenished.
• Use a FIFO approach so older parts, fluids, and consumables are issued first and are less likely to become outdated or unusable.

Receiving and quality checks

• Compare incoming deliveries with purchase orders and delivery documents to confirm the correct quantities and specifications have been received.
• Examine mechanical parts, tools, and raw materials for damage or defects before accepting them into store inventory.

Storage and organization

• Arrange and classify heavy machinery parts, hardware items, and safety equipment in a clear and practical storage system.
• Protect specialized tools and high-value equipment from theft, misuse, or physical damage.
• Maintain proper item labeling and bin cards so mechanics can locate parts quickly and accurately.

Education and experience

The position calls for a Diploma in Automobile and 3 to 5 years of relevant experience. Suitable background includes work in training institutes, overseas companies, group companies, or the automobile sector.

Compensation

The offered salary is Tk. 50,000 to 60,000 per month.
