Role Overview
The Store Inventory Manager in our Mackay location takes full responsibility for maintaining a productive, safe, and orderly inventory process throughout the store, from receiving stock at the dock to organizing it on the sales floor. Reporting to the Store Manager, this role plays a critical part in overseeing the quality management of office and back-of-house inventory systems and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and motivate your team to perform at their best.
- Oversee the inventory cycle and ensure efficient stock handling within the store.
- Plan and prioritize daily work and allocate resources effectively.
- Develop and implement strategies to minimize shrinkage and control costs.
- Ensure safe and efficient inventory management practices across store operations.
- Improve customer experience by ensuring product availability and smooth stock flow.
- Take a hands-on approach managing back dock operations, including receiving, processing, and moving products to the shop floor.

- Demonstrable experience in large-scale or high-volume retail environments.
- A passionate commitment to achieving goals that inspire teams to excel.
- Strong values emphasizing safety, customer focus, and motivating continuous improvement.
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with staff, peers, customers, and business stakeholders.
- Experience in retail administration including rostering, stock control, and strategic planning.
- Proven leadership in safety initiatives within fast-paced settings.
