Role overview
Raytheon ELCAN, part of RTX, is hiring immediately for a Stockroom Attendant to support its Inventory Control function in Midland, Ontario. The company is a long-established leader in high-precision optical systems and works on technologies that support aerospace and defense missions. In this role, you will help keep materials flowing smoothly between receiving, storage, and production so the right items are available when needed.
What you will do
- Keep stockroom areas neat, well-arranged, and clearly labeled so materials can be found quickly and inventory can be controlled effectively.
- Provide materials and parts to production teams based on work orders, production plans, and material requests.
- Carry out routine inventory checks and assist with cycle counts to help ensure the stock levels in the inventory system remain accurate.
- Coordinate the movement of materials between receiving, stock storage, and production spaces so operations stay supplied without delays.
- Maintain a safe, orderly, and clean stockroom while following company rules for handling and storing materials.
Qualifications required
- You should have at least 2-3+ years of experience in a stockroom, warehouse, inventory, or materials-handling role.
- Experience receiving, storing, and issuing materials in a manufacturing or production setting is required.
- Comfort using computers is necessary, including data entry in inventory or ERP systems.
- You need a strong eye for detail and the ability to record inventory information accurately.
- You must be able to lift and move materials safely and use material-handling equipment when needed.
- You should be organized and able to support production operations in a busy, fast-moving environment.
- Knowledge of the Occupational Health & Safety Act and internal EHS policies is required.
- You should demonstrate Raytheon ELCAN’s values of respect, trust, and teamwork.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with inventory systems, barcoding, or material-tracking tools is an advantage.
Compensation and benefits
The posted salary range for this position is 44,000 CAD to 80,000 CAD per year.
