Stock and Inventory Agent

Role overview

Zeplin Investments Limited is a fast-growing internet service provider delivering dependable connectivity and technology solutions to households, companies, and institutions throughout Kenya. The organization is looking for a careful, well-organized, and proactive Stock and Inventory Agent to strengthen its operations team.

This position is focused on keeping inventory accurate, ensuring stock is issued and received correctly, maintaining reliable asset records, and keeping all inventory-related paperwork complete and compliant with internal standards. The role also supports operational efficiency by helping maintain healthy stock levels and protecting company assets.

Key responsibilities

• Keep stock and inventory records accurate and up to date at all times.
• Check, review, and process stock adjustment requests, making sure each one is supported, approved, and documented properly.
• Carry out planned stock counts and reconciliations, identify differences, and help put corrective actions in place.
• Track stock levels continuously and trigger replenishment before quantities fall below the minimum threshold.
• Assess stock transfer requests, confirm availability, and ensure every movement is captured correctly in the records.
• Inspect incoming items against purchase orders, delivery notes, and invoices before inventory updates are made.
• Enter receipts, issues, transfers, and adjustments into the inventory system without delay.
• Prepare, allocate, track, recover, and maintain records of company assets through their full lifecycle.
• Arrange repair and maintenance work for damaged assets and follow through until completion.
• Keep the stores area tidy, well-organized, secure, and safe.
• Create inventory reports and maintain documentation that is complete, accurate, and ready for audit.
• Spot shortages, discrepancies, damaged stock, and other operational risks, then escalate them promptly.
• Support internal and external audits by providing records and other required evidence.
• Work with Procurement, Finance, Human Resources, and Operations teams to maintain stock availability and control.
• Handle other stock and inventory duties as assigned.

Requirements

• A Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement and Logistics, Stores Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Some prior exposure to storekeeping or inventory processes is an advantage.
• Hands-on experience with inventory management systems or ERP platforms.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Clear understanding of inventory control, stock reconciliation, asset tracking, and warehouse operations.
• Experience in telecommunications, ISP, construction, or technical operations environments will be beneficial.
• Strong attention to detail and solid organizational ability.
• Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team.
