Overview

The Sterling Executive Group invites distinguished former CEOs and senior leaders to join as Sterling Group Chairs, leading confidential circles of up to 10 non-competing CEOs and senior executives. This unique role transcends traditional employment, consulting, or coaching by fostering a trusted executive community where seasoned leaders collaborate to tackle significant business and leadership challenges.

Role Details

As a Sterling Chair, you will facilitate open and honest dialogues, push conventional boundaries, and enable peers to refine their decision-making, execution, and leadership skills. The role requires a substantial dedication of time, including approximately 30 hours monthly for group sessions and additional time for member recruitment.

Candidate Profile

  • Proven track record of successfully leading large, complex organizations
  • At least 30 years of senior leadership experience
  • Credibility and presence to engage as an equal with accomplished CEOs
  • Excellent facilitation, active listening, and relationship-building capabilities
  • Strong understanding of fundamental leadership concepts
  • Passion for supporting the success of fellow leaders
  • Commitment to developing high-quality executive groups
  • Availability to invest time in group growth and engagement
