Role Overview and Responsibilities

• Perform decontamination, preparation, packaging, and sterilization of all instruments processed according to departmental protocols.
• Serve as a preceptor, mentor, and resource to support fellow department staff.

Qualifications and Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
• Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician is preferred.
• Prior experience in a hospital setting is advantageous.
• Successful candidates must obtain certification within 24 months of hire.

Additional Information

• This position is full-time with hours from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, categorized as evening shift.
• Work schedule includes every third weekend and on-call duties.
• Remote work is not applicable for this role; all duties are onsite at St Josephs Main and Childrens facilities.
