About the Role
The Statistical Analyst will play a key role in collecting, processing, and interpreting statistical data to aid strategic planning, assess organizational performance, and drive quality improvement initiatives within the Planning & Quality Department.
Primary Responsibilities
- Gather, verify, clean, and analyze data from various sources to guarantee accuracy and dependability.
- Conduct statistical analyses to uncover trends, patterns, correlations, and identify performance deficiencies.
- Create regular reports, dashboards, and summaries to inform management decisions.
- Assist in developing, tracking, and analyzing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Perform both descriptive and inferential statistical analyses supporting planning and quality projects.
- Participate in forecasting, predictive modeling, and performance evaluation using suitable statistical methods.
- Design and develop data visualizations and dashboards to effectively communicate insights.
- Support benchmarking, surveys, and research efforts through application of statistical methods.
- Ensure data quality by recommending enhancements to collection and reporting procedures.
- Collaborate with various internal teams to understand analytics needs and provide data-driven guidance.
- Use tools including SPSS, R, Python, SQL, Excel, and Power BI for statistical and business intelligence tasks.
- Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, reports, and presentations highlighting statistical results.
- Adhere to organizational data governance and maintain quality standards in reporting.
- Stay informed about new statistical techniques, software tools, and industry best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Economics, Applied Statistics, Operations Research, or similar quantitative disciplines.
- Master's degree preferred.
- Valuable to have certifications in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, SQL, Power BI, or relevant statistical software.
Experience
- At least 3 to 5 years of professional experience in statistical analysis, data analytics, BI, or performance evaluation.
- Preferable experience in strategic planning, quality management, or performance monitoring.
- Exposure to government or public sector environments considered an advantage.
Skills and Competencies
- In-depth understanding of statistical principles, quantitative techniques, and research approaches.
- Expertise in statistical software such as SPSS, R, Python, SAS and database querying with SQL.
- Proficiency with data visualization platforms like Power BI or Tableau.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving capability, and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret complex data and effectively communicate results to non-technical audiences.
- Excellent written reporting, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Well-organized with effective time management abilities.
- Collaborative team player committed to continuous professional growth in analytics and statistics.
