Staff Nurse - St Andrews Community Hospital

Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled registered nurse for Ward 2 at St Andrews Community Hospital, a 16-bed unit including 4 specialist palliative care beds. This role focuses on caring for older adults with emphasis on rehabilitation, recovery, and adaptation.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, person-centred nursing care tailored to older adults.
• Engage in complex discharge planning to facilitate smooth patient transitions.
• Contribute actively to creating a strong health and safety culture by identifying and reducing risks in patient care.
• Effectively manage complex and challenging situations in a clinical environment.
• Utilize strong interpersonal, IT, and communication skills at various levels within the team and with patients.

Candidate Requirements

• Registered Nurse qualification with a passion for older adult care and rehabilitation.
• Demonstrated experience in delivering person-centred care and handling complex discharge processes.
• Excellent communication, IT, and interpersonal abilities.
• Capability to manage complex situations with professionalism and skill.
• Membership in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme is mandatory prior to appointment.
• Legal entitlement to work in the United Kingdom as per UK Visa and Immigration guidelines is essential.
