Role overview

Virtue Integrated Care is hiring a full-time Staff Nurse for Moorehall Lodge Ardee on Hale Street in Ardee, County Louth. The position is based onsite and requires flexibility to work across weekdays and weekends as needed.

The service is centered on improving residents’ overall well-being through meaningful social, physical, and mental engagement. The home provides a range of activities and outings designed to reflect individual interests and care needs, with a strong focus on person-centred support and quality of life.

Key duties

  • Carry out resident assessments and create, deliver, and review individualized care plans in line with best practice, HIQA requirements, and current evidence-based nursing guidance.
  • Provide holistic nursing care that supports independence and helps improve residents’ day-to-day quality of life.
  • Build and sustain positive relationships with residents, families, and guardians.
  • Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure residents receive the most appropriate support and input.
  • Keep clear, accurate, and up-to-date care records and reports.
  • Promote a care philosophy that reflects a quality-focused, evidence-led approach in a safe environment that protects resident dignity.
  • Support a model of care that encourages enablement, respects autonomy, and values informed consent.
  • Advocate for residents and their families by sharing information that supports decision-making, goal setting, problem solving, and participation in community-based activities.

Requirements and experience

  • A recognised nursing qualification is essential.
  • Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland is required.
  • At least 3 years of experience as a staff nurse in a nursing home is desirable.
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development is required.
  • Applicants should have the leadership skills, administrative understanding, and capability needed to perform the role effectively.
  • Candidates must be eligible to work in the Republic of Ireland.
