Job description
Role Overview
Emerald Nursing is looking for experienced Registered General Nurses to take up agency work across Dublin. The role offers access to a broad mix of highly regarded private hospitals, HSE teaching hospitals, national specialist centres, leading care groups and Section 38 specialist services. This position is suited to nurses who value flexibility, a varied clinical schedule and the opportunity to work in respected Irish healthcare settings.
What the Role Offers
You can shape your shifts around your own availability, with the option to choose consistency or variety depending on what suits you best. The agency offers premium hourly pay across day, night, weekend and bank holiday shifts, and also provides weekly Friday pay, holiday pay and full clinical indemnity. There are no exclusivity requirements, no minimum hours and no fixed contract commitments.
Client Environment
Placements may include private acute hospitals with specialties such as cardiac, oncology and orthopaedics, as well as major public teaching hospitals, national specialist centres and leading care groups. A senior Dublin-based coordinator matches nurses to suitable assignments based on experience and strengths, with fast compliance processing and support handled by a dedicated consultant rather than a general call centre.
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe and professional nursing care as a Registered General Nurse across assigned Dublin placements.
- Work in line with the procedures and standards of the host hospital or clinical service.
- Contribute clinical expertise in acute, community or specialist environments as required by each placement.
- Maintain accurate patient care standards and uphold high-quality clinical practice.
- Coordinate with the agency team to take shifts that align with your availability and skills.
Requirements
- Current NMBI registration as a Registered General Nurse.
- At least 6 months of recent clinical experience in the Irish healthcare system.
- Experience may have been gained in an acute hospital, community setting or specialist service.
- Strong clinical references are required.
- You must be eligible to work in Ireland.
- Mandatory training must be up to date.
- Garda vetting and occupational health clearance are required, and these will be arranged by the agency.
