About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Staff Nurse to join the acute respiratory unit, Albury Ward, located at the Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust in Guildford. This ward is a dynamic and fast-paced twelve-bedded high dependency unit specializing in acute respiratory care. The unit caters to patients with diverse respiratory conditions, offering level 2 care including BIPAP/CPAP and high flow oxygen therapies.

Unit Overview

The Respiratory Medicine service is expanding rapidly, and we require nursing professionals eager to contribute to its growth. The team includes highly skilled chest physicians, therapists, and specialist nurses, fostering an environment ideal for clinical and professional advancement.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality, compassionate, and safe nursing care, acting autonomously and with accountability as an NMC registrant.
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments, plan individualized care programs, implement them, supervise nursing interventions, and evaluate care outcomes.
  • Engage actively in continuous professional development and training, participating fully in the Trust’s structured preceptorship program.
  • Exhibit leadership qualities, support the learning and development of colleagues, and maintain transparency, integrity, and trustworthiness.
  • Uphold the values of the Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust and adhere to the NMC Code of Conduct at all times.
