Role Overview

As an Industry 4.0 Product Owner, you will spearhead the design, development, and delivery of comprehensive smart manufacturing systems tailored to empower assembly and testing operations. This role bridges business, engineering, and data science disciplines to realize Industry 4.0 transformations by employing cutting-edge analytics, automation, and AI/ML technologies that enhance cost-efficiency, scalability, quality, and productivity across global manufacturing operations.

Core Responsibilities

• Develop and steer the Industry 4.0 product roadmap ensuring alignment with corporate goals and manufacturing strategies.
• Lead collaborative, multi-disciplinary teams including engineering, IT, data science, and operational units delivering integrated smart manufacturing capabilities.
• Collect, analyze, and prioritize stakeholder requirements, formulate business cases, measure impacts, and identify high-return projects for implementation.
• Translate complex business challenges into technical requirements and vice versa for technical and data science teams.
• Work alongside global teams to deploy and sustain production-level data science solutions, maintaining data integrity and continuous enhancement.
• Produce comprehensive documentation related to software development, design, testing, user education, and release management.
• Effectively communicate with colleagues, senior leadership, and external partners; capable of delivering presentations to diverse groups, showcasing leadership and relationship management.
• Facilitate optimization and standardization of tools and processes through central business partners to enable scalable deployment across locations.
• Offer expert advice on system integrations, functionalities, and process enhancements.
• Create user-friendly interfaces for interactive data visualizations to clarify insights from analytic models and datasets.
• Generate wireframes, prototypes, and UI mockups informed by user input and business needs.
• Collaborate with development teams to define APIs and craft robust backend and frontend solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Information Technology, or related disciplines.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in smart manufacturing, process engineering, or similar operational roles with a track record of delivering Industry 4.0 initiatives.
• Proven capability to lead cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams with effective collaboration at various management levels.
• Experience driving digital transformation in manufacturing or industrial sectors.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
• Excellent communication skills across written, verbal, and presentation contexts.
• At least 3 years’ practical experience in data science or analytics, including competence in data engineering tasks (ETL, data warehousing, SQL, platforms like Snowflake).
• Proficient in front-end web technologies (Angular, JavaScript/Typescript, HTML) and business intelligence tools such as Tableau and Power Platform. Familiarity with APIs and data exchange formats (JSON, XML), as well as Agile methodologies.
• Deep knowledge of capacity modeling, production planning and optimization, or manufacturing performance monitoring.
• Understanding of semiconductor manufacturing systems (MES, SAP) is advantageous.
