About the Company

Talabat is part of Delivery Hero Group, a global local delivery platform focused on making delivery fast, convenient, and seamless. The business operates in about 65 countries and is headquartered in Berlin, Germany. Delivery Hero has been listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange since 2017 and is included in the MDAX index.

Role Overview

The Senior Specialist, Supply Chain Automation will drive the regional transformation agenda across MENA markets. The role is centered on improving operational performance by replacing manual processes with scalable automation, stronger analytics, and integrated systems across planning, supplier and inventory management, and distribution center operations.

In this position, you will serve as the key link between local market teams, regional leadership, and central Product and Technology groups. Your work will help convert business needs into automated solutions that reduce planner effort, strengthen decision-making, and improve overall supply chain network performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and execute the regional automation strategy across demand planning, replenishment, supplier management, and distribution center operations.
  • Design automation solutions that can be rolled out across multiple countries with limited localization requirements.
  • Spot process bottlenecks and remove manual work through automation of supplier communication, purchase order follow-ups, and exception handling.
  • Convert successful local initiatives into standardized regional frameworks and set governance practices to support long-term adoption and performance tracking.
  • Represent the region as the main partner for central Product, Data, and Engineering teams, ensuring local priorities align with the central supply chain technology roadmap.
  • Collect business needs, translate them into product specifications, and lead testing, validation, and rollout of central tools such as IDP and Supplier Central.
  • Encourage adoption of central platforms while sharing structured, data-backed feedback to help close process and product gaps.
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines using SQL, BigQuery, and Python to support supply chain decisions.
  • Own automated dashboards, KPI tracking, alerts, and reporting for fill rate, availability, service levels, inventory health, stock transfers, supplier performance, forecast accuracy, DC utilization, and capacity planning.
  • Create lightweight applications and API-based integrations that connect operational tools, internal systems, and communication platforms.
  • Use cloud tools, workflow automation software, and AI-enabled solutions to improve visibility and productivity across the supply chain.
  • Support automation efforts in distribution centers, including receiving, stock transfers, inventory controls, and labor or capacity planning.
  • Build tools and alerts that provide real-time warehouse visibility and fleet or utilization insights.
  • Standardize distribution center reporting and performance measurement across markets.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree with at least 6 years of experience in a fast-moving FMCG/CPG environment with a mature automation setup, preferably from a consulting background in a supply chain product-oriented role.
  • 3 to 4 years of hands-on experience with mature ERP/WMS platforms such as SAP, Oracle, or JDA, and/or SQL, BigQuery, and EDI integrations.
  • Exposure to or working knowledge of AI models is an added advantage.
  • A strong track record as a data-driven professional with proven success in product go-to-market, product roadmaps, and automation initiatives.
  • Highly structured and process-oriented, with preference for Lean Six Sigma or 5S knowledge.
  • Advanced analytical capability with strong command of GSheet, MS Excel, Data Studio, and Tableau.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and a disciplined, process-focused mindset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for working with multiple stakeholders.
