Job description
Role Overview
This position leads regional sales performance for the assigned geography, with accountability for both primary and secondary sales. The role requires driving business targets, strengthening customer relationships, developing the team, and ensuring disciplined execution of company plans across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver product-wise and value-wise sales outcomes on a monthly and annual basis for the assigned region across primary and secondary sales.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with doctors, retailers, stockists, and other important regional stakeholders through customer engagement activities aligned with company direction.
- Review team performance and regional sales regularly, then convert findings into actionable improvement plans.
- Identify capability gaps and conduct training and development initiatives for team members.
- Enforce the company’s credit policy rigorously and keep outstanding dues within approved norms.
- Close vacancies in the team, including AMs, MEs, and MTs, within the required timeline to avoid business loss.
- Support the team in executing company strategies with discipline and consistency to achieve strong implementation.
- Share market intelligence with line managers and the marketing team, including market trends and the effectiveness of the company’s promotional plans versus competitors.
- Handle team attrition proactively and work to retain key talent within the region.
Experience Required
The role calls for 11 to 12 years of overall experience, including at least 2 years working as a second-line manager.
Education
A degree in Pharmacy is required.
