Position Summary
The Sr. Director of Global Workforce Strategy & Planning leads the development and governance of the company’s global workforce strategy. This role spearheads the assessment of offshoring, nearshoring, outsourcing, headcount planning, and non-employee workforce via stakeholder engagement, process evaluation, and system optimization. Close collaboration with senior leadership is essential to drive initiatives that bolster organizational growth and efficiency.
Primary Responsibilities
- Design and implement global workforce strategies in alignment with business objectives.
- Establish enterprise KPIs and frameworks to support executive decisions on labor.
- Oversee location strategies, workforce planning, and data modeling related to shoring and outsourcing.
- Develop governance frameworks supporting sustainable workforce strategies.
- Coordinate with HR, finance, and cross-functional teams ensuring decisions are data-driven.
- Partner with GBS leadership to articulate strategic vision and value propositions.
- Manage intake, review, and execution processes for new site setups, changes, or staffing requirements.
- Engage with leadership and delivery teams to analyze and fulfill offshoring, nearshoring, and outsourcing requests.
- Lead change management efforts to facilitate process adoptions successfully.
- Stay abreast of organizational, industry, and environmental trends to inform workforce decisions.
- Direct project management for end-to-end process transitions partnering with business units.
- Assign projects to delivery teams and track progress regarding timelines, scope, and budgets.
- Regularly communicate strategies, operational status, improvements, and metrics to stakeholders and leadership.
Continuous Improvement Initiatives
- Develop and maintain targets and methodologies for continuous improvement.
- Define, track, and report specific KPIs and SLAs by site and function.
- Monitor employee engagement and implement initiatives to promote culture and continuous learning.
- Create and manage a resource and knowledge repository.
Compliance & Regulatory Responsibilities
- Interpret regulatory requirements to ensure compliance with local and international laws.
- Collaborate with government agencies and legal bodies regarding location establishment and management.
HR Operations Roles
- Ensure understanding and adherence to policies among team members and stakeholders.
- Promote team collaboration and engagement.
- Lead, mentor, and develop team talent.
- Manage escalations and maintain strong vendor and stakeholder relationships.
- Communicate proactively with executive teams and exemplify professionalism and ethics.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field; advanced degree or MBA preferred.
- Over 10 years of experience managing global, cross-functional projects.
- In-depth knowledge of the cruise industry.
- Strong ability to convert business vision into tactical strategies and actionable plans.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
