Role Overview
This full-time role is designed around a hybrid schedule during shutdown periods, based in Al Khobar with some allowance for remote work. The primary responsibility is conducting inspections of spring supports at client locations, which includes visual assessments, data gathering, and detailed documentation aligned with company protocols and project needs. Daily activities involve coordinating with project supervisors and engineers, preparing thorough inspection reports, providing technical troubleshooting for spring support systems, and ensuring all inspections comply with safety and quality standards. The position also demands responding to client questions, offering fundamental technical assistance, collaborating closely with team members, occasional travel to client sites, and adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies in industrial environments.
Project Details
- Location: Rabigh, Saudi Arabia
- Inspection and evaluation of 427 spring hangers/supports including hot and cold inspections
- Condition assessments, load and position measurements
- Adjustment and re-verification of supports
- Inspection photography and technical reporting
- Preparation and maintenance of Excel master logs
- Expected field duration: 30 to 40 working days
- Mobilization dependent on project award and client confirmation
Available Positions
- Senior Mechanical Inspector – Spring Supports: Experienced with variable and constant spring supports, hot and cold inspections, condition evaluation, abnormalities detection, and adjustments recommendation
- Instrumentation Inspector – Spring Supports: Skilled in measurement instruments, load and travel readings, calibration checking, and inspection documentation
- Mechanical NDT Inspector: Certified NDT professional (preferably ASNT/PCN Level II) familiar with visual inspections and NDT methods for piping supports and mechanical parts
- QA/QC Engineer – Part-time: Responsible for reviewing inspection documentation, records, reports, and photographs
- HSE Officer: Holds recognized Saudi HSE qualifications with experience in power plants, refineries, or petrochemical plants
- Document Controller – Part-time: Experienced in preparation of inspection reports, photographic logs, and Excel master logs
Candidate Profile and Qualifications
- Strong analytical abilities to evaluate inspection data, identify deviations, and aid in root-cause analysis
- Technical support skillset to assist with inspection procedures, equipment handling, and system diagnostics
- Client communication proficiency for professional interaction, clarification of results, and expectation management
- Troubleshooting expertise to identify and suggest corrections for spring support issues
- Relevant technical education such as diploma or degree in mechanical, industrial engineering or related disciplines is preferred
- Experience within inspection, NDT, or industrial maintenance sectors is advantageous
- Familiarity with ISO quality and safety standards applicable to industrial environments
- Capability to perform fieldwork adhering to safety protocols and using inspection tools effectively
- Basic computer skills for report generation, data input, and documentation
- Possession of valid certifications and transferable Iqama/work authorization is preferred
