Role Summary

We are searching for a dedicated Sports Trader passionate about the sports gaming industry. Reporting to the VP of Sports Trading, you will influence both revenue generation and the growth of market options. Your responsibilities include setting and managing the betting odds based on diverse data sources, maintaining these odds throughout their lifecycle. The job demands availability during weekends and holidays when needed.

Primary Responsibilities

• Oversee risk and liability for Betr’s sportsbook markets following company risk and trading guidelines.
• Price and manage live betting markets dynamically, adjusting lines as bets, news events, and game conditions change.
• Continuously track league updates, injuries, team lineups, and weather, making timely market modifications before and during events.
• Establish and revise opening and closing betting lines in alignment with market consensus and sharp market activity.
• Control liability limits, exposure, and bet acceptance thresholds across different accounts and markets.
• Support analysis of daily trading reports to confirm appropriate customer profiling, hold rates, and key performance indicators.
• Collaborate with operations and trading technology teams to improve market reach, response times, and customer satisfaction.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum three years of experience in trading within a Sports Betting platform.
• Strong numerical and analytical aptitude with expertise in odds calculation.
• Self-driven with proactive problem-solving skills and a keen interest in current industry trends and best practices.
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
• Thrives in a fast-moving environment and adapts well to ambiguity and change.
• Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with internal teams and external partners.
• Highly motivated and able to independently manage projects from start to finish, upholding high standards.
• Entrepreneurial mindset, exceptional organizational skills, flexibility, and the ability to prioritize effectively.
