Job overview
This role focuses on the safe and efficient transfer of crude oil and other cargo between ship and shore. The position involves coordinating marine cargo operations with the relevant teams while ensuring full compliance with applicable safety regulations, standards, and procedures. A key part of the job is managing mooring and unmooring activities for tankers at the Single Point Mooring (SPM).

Key responsibilities
- Carry out routine work in line with applicable policies, procedures, standard operating practices, and instructions so activities remain safe, controlled, and consistent.
- Stay updated on current industry practices and emerging trends, and support ongoing improvements to systems, workflows, and procedures.
- Ensure the designated SPM undergoes pre-berthing checks by the diving team according to the checklist.
- Coordinate with the pilot to secure and release the pull-back tug at the SPM.
- Manage mooring and unmooring activities for SPM tankers.
- Connect and disconnect SPM hoses as required.
- Perform ship-shore safety checklist checks and conduct periodic inspections throughout cargo operations.
- Track hourly cargo quantities and reconcile the figures accurately.
- Monitor the position of the SPM.
- Maintain clear and effective communication between the vessel, tug, and shore teams.
- Ensure the crude oil washing requirement is followed by the crude vessel.
- Support the preparation and completion of cargo-related documentation.
- Conduct tool-box talks for the SPM hose crew.
- Perform bunker checks for craft.
- Inspect support craft.
- Assist with berthing and un-berthing of vessels and barges at the LOLO jetty.
Performance measures
- Accurate cargo measurement.

Internal: Marine Operations Team, Health & Safety Team
External: Surveyors, ship staff
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree or an equivalent qualification is required.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in underwater and offshore maintenance at SPM is mandatory.
- Must be at least a CD 2 diver as per IMCA standards or hold an equivalent Indian Navy standard.
