Overview
As a Specialist - Technical Representative, you will design, plan, and implement regional educational and experiential activities to support retail partners and foster strong local brand loyalty. You act as the expert resource on products for store teams within your assigned territory, linking your efforts to our mission of motivating people through movement. Reporting to the Technical Representative Lead on the Brand Experience team, you will partner closely with Sales and Marketing colleagues to maintain relationship health and ensure high-quality brand delivery across key retail accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging product education sessions that effectively communicate technical features and benefits of footwear and apparel to enhance retail staff knowledge.
- Support retail activations by conducting product demos, community test runs, and brand trials seamlessly at partner locations.
- Systematically manage and schedule store visits across your territory to steward reliable communication and support with retail managers.
- Coordinate logistics for regional product launches in alignment with marketing calendars to energize retail audiences.
- Represent the brand by managing presence at local health expos, fitness trade fairs, and community events including setup, interaction, and breakdown.
- Develop grassroots brand advocacy by networking with local running clubs and fitness groups to boost brand exposure.
- Implement and verify visual merchandising standards in stores during visits to uphold premium brand consistency.
- Monitor inventory levels at retail accounts, promptly reporting shortages to Sales Representatives to support stock replenishment.
- Collect and relay localized market intelligence such as store feedback, competitor activities, and staff insights to your team and leadership.
Qualifications
- 1 to 3 years’ experience in technical or sales representative roles, retail sales, or outdoor/running specialty retail environments.
- Basic knowledge or the ability to rapidly acquire expertise regarding human physiology and product engineering relevant to running.
- Strong presentation skills with confidence in delivering technical education to a variety of audiences including retailers and industry professionals.
- Competent at managing travel itineraries, expense tracking, and using standard office productivity software.
- Prepared for a travel-heavy role involving up to 60% territory travel and residing within about an hour’s drive of Charlotte, NC.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and willingness to complete a Motor Vehicle Record check prior to employment.

The Brand Experience team embodies our mission by activating physical brand expressions in retail and community settings. This team includes Marketing, Visual Merchandising, Events, Community Outreach, and Technical Representatives working collaboratively to enhance retail partner capabilities, increase brand footprint, and align with our performance and sustainability goals.
Additional Information
- This role involves substantial travel within the territory (up to 60%) and includes a company vehicle as a benefit.
