The position calls for someone who can keep operations running smoothly while also contributing to a positive employee experience and a compliant, welcoming office environment.
Key responsibilities
- Run everyday facility operations by organising maintenance work and overseeing service providers to keep the workplace safe, operational, and well maintained.
- Handle vendor partnerships and service agreements for cleaning, office support services, and waste removal, and review and process invoices following procurement procedures.
- Assist with the local execution of a hybrid workplace model, including administration of workplace and seat-booking tools.
- Perform risk reviews and put preventative safety measures in place, while maintaining physical security processes together with security vendors to ensure ongoing coverage.
- Support adherence to relevant health and safety laws, building regulations, and environmental requirements.
- Manage server room activities, environmental monitoring, emergency readiness, and business continuity planning procedures to strengthen operational resilience.
Required background
- A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facility Management, or a related discipline, or an equivalent mix of education and hands-on experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in facilities management or workplace operations.
- Practical understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems, along with experience carrying out facility inspections and audits.
- Exposure to building monitoring systems, backup power solutions, and power management equipment such as UPS units.
- Strong organisational, troubleshooting, and project management abilities, plus the skill to work effectively with different teams and levels across the organisation.
Nice-to-have experience
- Background in a global or multi-site organisation.
- Experience supporting hybrid workplace strategies and space management technology.
- Hands-on work with advanced building management systems, environmental monitoring tools, or facilities automation platforms.
