Role Overview

This position is part of the Quality Assurance team in Nairobi, Kenya. The role focuses on supporting product quality, factory compliance, inspection coordination, and communication between factories, regional teams, and head office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage fit coordination, pre-production approvals, and pre-production meetings.
  • Carry out inline and final inspection checks on production orders.
  • Monitor production work-in-progress and escalate issues to Asia and North America leads when needed.
  • Share inspection outcomes for each order with the head office.
  • Perform complete packaging reviews, including components, execution, and sticker checks.
  • Prepare and circulate daily quality inspection updates.
  • Maintain and track WIP status.
  • Handle quality assurance matters with licensors/customers and factories, including packing instructions.
  • Support factory audits and follow through on corrective action plans.
  • Track approvals for color, bulk fabric, and trims.
  • Work on samples and special requests from product development and design teams.
  • Review QA reports and help resolve production or quality issues.
  • Support compliance onboarding and corrective actions.
  • Contribute to vendor allocation and sourcing decisions.
  • Check and send official purchase orders to factories and update delivery dates in SAP.
  • Coordinate with sales teams on quantity, delivery, and direct shipment booking issues across HFC, CPO, and PO processes.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in quality assurance or the textile sector, along with strong technical understanding of garments and fabrics. The role calls for someone who can work with precision, handle multiple priorities, and stay current on modern QA/QC practices.

Additional Requirements and Competencies

  • Practical experience in quality assurance or textiles.
  • Strong creativity and technical judgment for garment and textile work.
  • Knowledge of current QA/QC methods and industry best practices.
  • Understanding of garment manufacturing, including construction, fabrication, trims, and print methods.
  • Ability to manage several tasks at once while meeting deadlines.
  • Highly organized, accurate, and attentive to detail.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Textile or a related discipline.
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office, Adobe tools, and Excel.

Work Location

The role is based in Nairobi County, Kenya and is an on-site position.
